Russia to modernize Croatian Fishbeds

Russia and Croatia are planning to increase their military co-operation. Among high-priority points here may be modernization of MiG-21 fighter jets in service with Croation Air Force.
Payment for the service could be both financial and material. There is a possibility that a part of modernization bill will be used to settle 1 billion 600 million Soviet debt to Yugoslavia. According to UN resolution, Croatia is eligible for about 28% of this sum therefore Russia will have a chance to earn cash and pay off debts while Croatia will get its air force fixed and tighten relations with an old friend.
