Rumsfeld considers expanded F-22 buy and mission
US Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld is reviewing recommendations that
the US Air Force boost its planned acquisition of 339 F-22 Raptor
air-superiority fighters by ordering a further 423 aircraft developed for
air-to-surface operations, Lockheed Martin officials have revealed.
