MiG Designs New Naval Fighter

The MiG Corporation has embarked on the design program for a new naval multipurpose fighter, a source in the corportation reported. According to the source, MiG has designed two new modifications: MiG-29K fighter and MiG-29KUB trainer. These two new designs may also become part of the newly launched program for construction of middle class aircraft carriers.

As expected, emergence of a new multipurpose fighter will strengthen Russia`s naval defense. The renewed MiG program also pursues commercial interests as India and China are reported to be interested in the new naval fighter.
