Boeing gets $268 million missile defense contract
WASHINGTON, June 12 (Reuters) - Boeing Co. (NYSE:BA - News) has been awarded a $268.6 million contract for work on U.S. missile defense development, including more integration and flight testing, the Air Force said Wednesday.
Boeing is the prime contractor for the system furthest along in its development, the Ground-Based Mid-Course Defense. The Air Force said the new work included laser test tool simulation, battle management interoperability and spares.
The work is to be completed by March 2005, the service said.
