The design of the Flower Class Corvette was modified from the beginning. Ships were being retrofitted with latest improvements (longer forecastle, different brigdestructure, etc) Newly laid down were built with the latest modifications included, not according to original plans. At a certain time there was a need to make a new set of basic plans, with all improvements incorporated, that's what we call the Modified Design.
