Russia forces the An-70 program ahead with fresh funds alocated in 200

International consortium "Medium Transport Airplane" announced today that Russia fully recognizes its financial debt obligations to joint Russian-Ukranian An-70 program and has reserved necessary funding for the current fiscal year plus over 55ml Euro to pay off development bills for previous years.

Same source also mentioned that it's still not clear by how much will Russian participation in the project increase. Final figures are to be set this month.

Over 2.5 million Euro necessary to repair wrecked airplane

During today's press-conference general director of "Medium Transport Airplane" consortium Leonid Terentiev estimated expenses related to maintenance of crash-landed An-70 airlift to be roughly around 2.5ml Euro. This would cover spare parts, transportation, defectation, and maintenance costs.
The An-70 development and production program is a joint venture between Russian Federation, ukrain and Uzbekistan. The program itself remains open for any nation or company who's willing to take risk associated with its completion.
