Krasnoyarsk to Host Its First Air Show
East Siberian city of Krasnoyarsk this year will host Siberia`s first-ever aerospace show from 1-4 December 2001.
This announcement was made on Wednesday [15 August] at the international aerospace show in Zhukovskiy by KrasAir [Krasnoyarsk air] general director Boris Abramovich.
He said the Siberian show of the latest achievements in the field of Russian and foreign aviation and space equipment expects to put on view exhibits adapted for operation in Siberia`s harsh climate with its low temperatures and in areas distant from the industrially developed regions.
The idea of the Siberian aerospace show has been approved by the Russian president`s representative in the Siberian Federal District and the administration of Krasnoyarsk Territory.
According to expert estimates, between 200 and 300 foreign and domestic companies will take part in the show.
