Lobbying to resume production of the B-2 bomber, Northrop Grumman has
briefed aides to President-elect George W. Bush on "a scenario that would
produce a total of 40 aircraft at an average rate of four a year for 10
years" and at at an average cost of $500 million per aircraft, the company
said in a statement. The total cost for 40 aircraft is about $28 billion,
including engines, support and training. (Reuters, Jan. 11)
