Aviastar Raises Output 89% in 2000

Aviastar in Ulyanovsk posted output of 938 million rubles in 2000, up 89%
year-on-year and 1.5% over the annual target, the company told Interfax.

Aviastar build and delivered six airplanes, five of which were Tu-204 and one an
An-124 Ruslan.

The company`s preliminary production program for 2001 envisages the
construction of one An-124 Ruslan for Moscow airline Ruslan-003 and nine Tu-204.

The program also envisages turning five An-124 Ruslan, belonging to the airline
Polyet, from military to civil aircraft.

Aviastar also plans to repair five Tu-204 they build before 1995.
