Klimov introduces new helicopter engine

Klimov production plant have completed assembly of a new generation helicopter engine VK-3500. The prototype is now due to enter testing phase of the program.
The VK-3500 engine is distinguished by high number of technological advancements in its construction which makes life of field maintenance mechanics significantly easier. It's capable of generating up to 3500hp of thrust which maybe temporarily increased to 4000hp in the case of emergency. All systems are fully computerized which drastically reduced noise and amount of waste going into atmosphere.
