Stressing the importance of the deal, Mr Araouzos said it would have beneficial effects on tho island's economy In general and the vine industry in particular.
Speaking to reporters, the Minister said the agreement meant that the Russian market would absorb all present stocks of zivania as well as those in tho next three years. Indirectly this would help the disposal of old stocks of raisins and other vino products.
