Злые языки говорят, что основан на смитовском, но доработан. Их консультантом бы один Грэнт Каннингхэм, известный любитель револьверов. У меня есть его книжка на это тему. Вот что он написал в своём блоге об этом (
Grant's SHOT Show 2016 Adventure, Part 1: the Kimber K6s revolver and new FourSevens flashlights - Personal security training and advice - http://www.GrantCunningham.com www.GrantCunningham.com www.GrantCunningham.com ):
"Kimber originally asked me for input on what the "ideal” defensive/concealed carry revolver would look like. They didn’t want to make a hunting revolver or a competition revolver or a "tactical” revolver, but one that would actually be a useful defensive arm for those people considering a revolver for self defense. [...]
"I suggested to them that a good self defense revolver would carry six rounds, have
a great trigger and good sights. Of course there were a lot of other details that were important: it needs to fit and feel good in the hand, have rounded edges that were comfortable and didn’t chew up clothing, be of a concealed or enclosed hammer and double-action-only, have a rounded and smooth trigger face, be easily used by people with smaller hands, and of course be of high quality. In short, it wouldn’t be revolutionary but rather evolutionary: none of this stuff is really new, but it’s never been put together in one gun. The goal was to get everything into one package and get the details right."
А вот что он пишет в своей книге об этом "отличном спуске":
"For most people, the ideal double action trigger would be consistent in weight from start to finish; the term is `linear'. Some guns have a trigger that gets progressively heavier towards the end of travel, which is called stacking. Others start at one weight, increase dramatically in the middle of compression, and abruptly decrease in weight just before the sear releases. (I call this the 'camel hump' action, (...))
"Some revolver shooters actually like a bit of stacking in their double action, as they feel it makes staging the trigger easier. I've never met anyone, however, who actually liked the camel hump action. It is the most difficult type of double action to shoot well (...)."
Результат? Вот что пишет Крис Бейкер, изветный блоггер и ютубер, работающий в Lucky Gunner - я выбираю его мнение потому, что он не проститутка из глянцевого журнала:
"The trigger is really the stand-out feature. It’s a very smooth, 10-pound double action pull with no stacking. I’m not exaggerating when I say that it’s easily the best factory trigger I’ve used on a small-frame revolver." (
