Hi, let me introduce myself. My name is Bob from
Robert's Rocket Project - Home. I'd like to answer some of your questions.
One correction - the temperatures from my thermal analysis were in degrees Rankine (degR = degF + 460). So, the maximum predicted temperature was not 1065 degF but 1065 degR (319 degC).
As you know, I did not get the expected results from the test. I expected an Isp of 216 seconds but I only got 152 seconds. I went back and re-analyzed the data from my uncooled chamber test and I realized that the Isp from that test was only 183 sec. So, both designs were underperforming but this new regen engine was worse that the uncooled engine. I suspect my new FOOF split triplet injector design is not as good as the FO impinging design I used last time:
vs.
Even though the chamber never reached equilibrium, I suspect it would have reached it between 45-60 seconds. I would have run it longer but the propellant tanks only hold enough fuel for about 30 seconds.
When looking at the heat transfer, remember that the carbon deposits from LOX/kerosene act as a very good insulator.

Ну, да, у Кармака ещё и скорость потока была недостаточная для эффективного теплосъёма, но, сдаётся мне, минуту работы и этот движок не выдержит.
Да и УИ 225 секунд, насколько я понимаю, пока не подтверждён.
